i concur with mr. charles bukowski that a full blooded american has to hop a train heading nowhere at least once in their life..but would add that when it comes to letting other humans hijack your instincts, be very selective.

As a big fan of both the writings of Bukowski and yourself, and my love of getting lost I must agree. Of course it is one thing to accept the ride as a hitchhiker, it is an entirely other thing to accept the direction the driver wants you to go.

The driver can afford to be drunk and blind, cause he’s guided by fate. Just look at what Sandoval has pulled off tonight. Sometimes the ball just flies off your bat and sometimes it just flies past, no matter how hard you swing, and no hitting coach can teach you how to hit multiple home runs in a World Series game.
