Love at the Push of Some Buttons

Our love was meant for the computer screen

emails across the ocean’s green screen

we’ve seen things we could never be

til you wrote: Dear Pete.

Now when I see your name

I hit unfriend and delete.

Cause just like the internet

we’re a web of lies half truths compromise

interface eyesight where I hide.

We’re not robots but we’re not human either

we spend less time on people than the computer

we’re not robots but we’re not human either

as chat sites have replaced this stage

as this human theater.

So God bless Thomas Edison God bless Bill Gates

cause never was our love in a better place

but even when interfacing

love’s a bug you can’t defeat

and when I see your name

I hit delete.

Isn’t it crazy to think what are people’s feelings while reading the things you write?
It’s hard to read it. It’s hard to believe.

I’m not thinking of anything except the next word when my fingers dance upon the keyboard dance floor. if it’s hard to read, let me suggest reading wearing sunglasses.
